Introduction
:
Americans
take some action as a form of antiterrorism. One of the US’s action is leading the campaign in Iraq and Syria and try to
roll back the progress of ISIS. (Laub, 2015) US trying to
influence the people of Iraq and Syria to fight ISIS. However, Iraq's national
security forces have allied with Syiah militias to encourage the formation of an Islamic
State.
ISIS
is the
organization that aims to establish an Islamic state in some areas that cover
several areas. While the
organization was formed of Al Qaeda Iraq franchise, this organization evolved
not only using terrorist and insurgency tactics, but more towards conventional
organized militia.
ISIS has seized some territory
in the Middle East
one of which is in Sunni Iraq, including the cities of Mosul and Tikrit. (Laub, 2015) They proclaimed
himself
as the caliph, claims the
political and theological
exclusive authority over the Muslims in the world. They also planned the
construction of the state to control the area.
U.S also do the invansion to Iraq. Air strikes will be undertaken by the U.S against Iraq killed Zarqawi. At that time the US coalition with its international allies was
provoked to attack Syiah and revenge against Sunnis.
US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper
estimated in February 2015 that more than
thirteen thousand foreign fighters joining the anti-government group of
Sunni Arab extremists, including the Islamic State, in Syria. The group is
trained to conduct anti-terrorism action. Intends to expand the Islamic State
in Iraq and Syria.
ISIS
also not surrender to expand into several regions. After successful expansion in many cities in Syria
such as: the northern Syrian town of Raqqa often referred to as the de facto
capital of the Islamic State. (Laub, 2015) Then they do a rapid
expansion in Iraq. After the expansion, the Islamic State of pushing back
against the Kurds and the Shiite majority in the Arab region.
Future
threats to the security of the United States, no longer armed groups,
terrorists, jihadists, and extremists. But all adherents or followers of Islam is seen as a threat,
which is very harmful to the security of the United States. Facing this threat,
the future leaders of the United States, even allowed to leave the Geneva
Convention, which is allowed to attack civilian targets. (VOA, 2012)
Therefore,
the US is very combat any act of rebellion with violence and terrorism.
Although they criticized adherents of Islam as a threat, here will be explained
towards the US strategy against the
actions of the Islamic State as one of their threats.
US
strategy combat the Islamic State Iraq and Syria
US
gather some coalition to degrade and defeat of the Islamic State. A coalition led by the US, including the EU and
several
states of Sunni Arab.
This coalition has conducted thousands of attacks against the Islamic State
which is dominated by US troops.
Although Saudi has been subject to the US, however Saudi
still was a threat to the US. Because Saudi Arabia is referred to as the source of
the birth of the schools 'Wahabi', in the perception of American leaders is a
threat that is very frightening. Therefore, US remain vigilant and control the
actions of Arabia. (VOA, 2012)
US also sent some troops in Iraq equipped with weapons
and lead air strikes against the Islamic state. The attack is carried on Early
March 2015, and nearly 1,500 air attacks and 70% dominated by the US forces. (Laub, 2015)
In September 2014, the US Congress
authorized the Pentagon to train and equip "checked right elements of the
Syrian opposition" to attack troops but not the Islamic State of Assad's
regime and its allies. In early 2015, the United States began a program to
train five thousand soldiers a year for three years.
As reported by the BBC, eventually figures US military's own
expose him. The Military Academy of the Armed Forces Joint Staff College in
Norfolk, Virginia, they are preparing future leaders. The type of future
leaders of the United States, which will make a total war against 1.4 billion
Muslims around the world.
As
said in the news that the US should
change their foreign policy to combat ISIS. Air attacks were carried out by
the US and their allies against ISIS can not defeat Islamic State. In fact they
build underground defense by the Iraq’s military. (Stevenson,
2015)
However airstrike US and its allies still help Iran to reject the Iraq’s attack
against Iran. Iran and US to work together to combat the ISIS.
But
some suggest that co-operation with Iran
would be a war of Shia and Sunni. They argue that in order to overcome this
need for alternative cultures and religions can be against violence, fanaik,
extremist view of Islam. (Stevenson, 2015)
